In an attempt to remain as cool, calm, and casual as possible, you’ve left your cloak in your room. You’d only have to take it off in the training room anyway, so you’re saving yourself the extra time and effort. Not that you’re overthinking things. At all. You’ve only re-layered your tunics and tabard half a dozen times, adjusted your belt twice that, and very nearly stepped out with only one boot. Whatever spell you had been under in Sol’s presence yesterday has completely worn off.
You arrive an hour earlier than you normally do, which is about fifteen minutes before Sol comes in with Jecki. If you remember right, Sol is done teaching the younglings by now and is off doing whatever it is he does in his spare hour between duties. While you’re a little deflated not seeing him right away, it’s for the best because his absence allows you focus and control. You can concentrate better on the saber, on your hands, on the slicing of air and the humming of the Force without him distracting you.
After some quick stretches, you unclip your saber and ignite it. The floor and nearby pillars reflect the light back to you, as well as a distorted image of your silhouette. A lifetime’s worth of muscle memory kicks in and your body is alive, thrumming with energy as your wrist twists, then your elbow, then your torso tilts and the saber swings in front, in back, in front again. Your wrist flicks and the saber swirls above your head, down behind your back, and finishes with a flourish at your side.
It feels like coming home.
Switching the saber from one hand to the other, you warm up your other side, copying your previous moments as precisely as possible even though it’s definitely your weaker side. This is the freedom you’ve been missing. You’ve been so fixated on Sol that it’s kept you away from the calm that saber work has always brought you – the repetition of the familiar, the Force as it flows through you, the shadows and highlights cast upon the walls as your saber arcs. Nothing could ever compare to this.
The saber flies into the air after you toss it. This is one of the fancier tricks you’ve seen some of the younger Knights and Padawans practicing, and you can already tell you won’t be able to catch this one properly, not without hurting yourself, so you jump back and flick the blade off with the Force. You fully expect it to clatter on the stone floor, and you’re hoping the fall doesn’t damage the casing or the kyber, but instead it… hovers.
It takes a millisecond to search the room for the source, and another to turn your head. Sol stands near the doorway with his arm outstretched, both eyes open and his face lightly furrowed in concentration. His attention flickers to you before refocusing on your saber, and it unexpectedly flies across the room into his open palm in the second it takes for you to catch your breath.
There’s something remarkably intimate about him holding this piece of you, something so vital to your being as a Jedi that you feel empty without it at your side. Still, if there were anyone you trusted to hold your saber, your very life, in their hands, you think it would be Sol. It just so happens that you also like to watch him hold it, whatever that means to the secret, affectionate creature that lives inside you.
“I’ve never seen you try that before,” he finally says. He starts for the center of the room, his gaze still focused on your saber as he rubs his thumb over the hilt.
You’re strangely breathless and you can’t understand why. “I was feeling adventurous. Saw some of the Padawans trying it the other day and, very foolishly, thought I should try it too.”
The corner of Sol’s mouth dimples into a crooked smile.
Wait, did he just say he’d never seen you try that before? He’s aware of the type of saber work you usually do? Heat blazes across your face at the realization, but Sol is too occupied to take notice, thank the Force. He continues to turn your saber over in his hand, though you’re not sure why. It isn’t so remarkably different from any other saber.
“Why did you think you would disappoint me?”
Your saber is returned, and you clip it back to your belt just to have something to do. “Well, I’m not a Master, for one thing. If I’m going to be sparring with you, I’d like to at least look like I know what I’m doing.”
“It certainly appeared that you did.”
You duck your head the moment he makes eye contact with you. Now that he’s finally here, your confidence wavers, and you know that your concentration will do the same the moment he begins to fight.
“What is it that makes you so unsure of yourself?” he asks with all the gentleness of a man who senses discouragement and knows it like the back of his own hand. “You are an accomplished dueler.”
If only he knew the magnitude of his question, he might choose to ask you something else. Huffing a breath out the side of your mouth, you start with a lazy, “Well, I–”
The air around you seems to vibrate, then electrify as Sol summons his own weapon into his hand and ignites it. He bears down upon you, and you know deep in your heart that he would never hurt you, but this knowledge does not override instinct. Your saber is in your hand without conscious thought, brandished and burning as his blade lands near the hilt. The junction where they touch burns white-hot, so starkly bright that it hurts to even look.
What are you doing? you mean to ask, but the words never come. You’re too enraptured by the flame of blue-white light reflected in his pupils to speak. How long have you spent watching him from afar, marveling at his skill, and now you find yourself on the receiving end of it? It feels unreal. It feels jagged and raw in the same way a cold wind off the sea does, exhilarating in some forbidden sense.
He retreats and you stumble back a step as your lightsaber comes to hang by your leg, still ignited but out of the way. It’s not proper form, but you’re too dazed to care. Sol spots this and advances again, giving you only the slightest margin for error as your blade comes screaming back into position to block him once, twice, three times before he backs up again.
“You react with instinct.” He begins to circle you with his blade extended toward your face. “Good.”
You feel a flash of irritation in your chest at this. While you’re certain (at least, you hope) he means well, this feels more like a Master testing his Padawan than a fellow Jedi electing to spar with you. You are not Sol’s Padawan and you’ve already fought to make your mark as a Knight, you don’t like feeling like a child again and certainly not at his hands. That’s not the kind of feeling you want from him.
“I don’t need a lesson,” you say as politely as you can, which isn’t very much at all currently.
Sol’s head tilts slightly in the way it always does when he’s considering something. “Then why am I here?”
Electric blue flashes across your vision as he slashes his way forward and you parry away. He’s not even giving you time to answer, let alone think, and you know it’s on purpose. Your Master’s used this trick on you several times, but that doesn’t mean you have to like it.
“Why am I here?” he repeats. He doesn’t even react when your blade swings past his shoulder and misses. “Why did you accept my offer?”
You swing again, agitated, and miss a second time, only to be pushed aside by an invisible hand so strong that it nearly knocks your breath from you.
“Because!”
Now that there’s some distance between you, you have a moment to think, to assess yourself, the questions he’s asking, and the answers you want to give. Sol, however, chooses not to give you that time. His arm extends, fingers splayed and palm open as that same invisible hand grasps you by the tabard and pulls. His wrist twists and you come flying into his hand like your saber had mere minutes ago. Instinct and fear kicks in again, and you find yourself forced to choose between freedom with no saber and close quarters defense in the amount of time it takes to decide to breathe.
Your saber drops to the floor, the blade disappearing into itself as you summon the Force to instead push yourself away from Sol and out of his grasp. The resulting blow is strong enough to knock you both off your feet, though you have just enough forewarning to brace yourself for impact. Cold, hard stone meets shins and knees, but you’re already up and recovering your saber. Sol isn’t far behind, but he’s clearly startled. Startled enough to have dropped his saber.
You are no Jar’Kai prodigy, and indeed, it’s been years since you’ve attempted to dual wield with any amount of seriousness, but you try now. It makes sense. It feels right. Sol’s saber is heavy in your hand, heavier and wider than yours, but it doesn’t fight you when you brandish it. His kyber sings a peculiar harmony with your own, as if they were exchanging greetings, embracing each other through the Force. It tickles in the back of your brain like a shot of spotchka.
Sol’s hand meets your wrist when you bring his blade down. The leather glove creaks under the weight of your blow, but his arm remains firm. Your other arm remains frozen mid-air as it quivers with the effort of resisting his Force. He’s got you pinned and while he can’t release you without putting himself back in danger, you can no longer land a blow on him without losing any ground. It’s a stalemate in its truest form.
You’re closer to him now than you ever have been before. His breath fans out across your face as it comes and goes in quick exhalations, and you find yourself wondering if you should’ve brushed your teeth again after lunch. If you’d known he’d be so close to you now, you would have.
“Why?” he grits through his bared teeth. “Why did you accept my offer?”
Something hotter than ice burns from your shoulder down to your wrist with the effort of fighting him. “Because I can’t focus,” you gasp. You won’t be able to hold on much longer. “Keep. Making mistakes.”
He presses his advantage until your arm shudders with enough strength to completely collapse. The saber is snagged from your hand as it drops and quickly redirected to spark somewhere near the column of your neck. There’s no real threat behind it. Sol is moments away from winning this round and your body is already tired.
“Let your instinct guide you,” he instructs, and though it burns to admit it, you know he’s right. “Don’t think. Feel.”
But that’s exactly what you don’t want to do, what you can’t do. Because to feel would mean to let the sin of your affection for him seep deeper and deeper into your bones until you can no longer draw it out like poison from a wound. To feel would be the most beautiful agony imaginable. To feel would be to dream of possibilities that can never be. You would rather not feel it at all, than to feel it and lose it in the end.
You shake your head. “I can’t.”
Sol frowns. He looks so beautiful bathed in the light of his kyber. “What are you afraid of?”
The blue saber deactivates, then your own, and the training room returns to normal, but your wrist remains trapped in the palm of Sol’s glove. He’s close enough now that the voluminous lower half of his robes fall around your knees, brushing your ankles as he adjusts his stance and leans further into you. Is this not everything you ever wanted?
“Tell me.”
And it’s the gentleness of this prompt that finally cleaves through your heart. You are, quite honestly, tired. Your heart and mind are exhausted from the burden of your guilt, from the knowledge that you are already so attached to a man you hardly know. You want to fight his inquisition, but more than that, you want to give in if only to find relief from the torment of not knowing.
With closed eyes and a trembling voice, you finally relinquish your secret. “Rejection. Abandonment.” Half-concocted visions of a future without the Jedi, without the Order or your Master or the life you’ve worked so hard to build, materialize behind your lids. All this because you tend to fall in love a little too fast? How is that fair? “Myself. I’m afraid of myself and what I could do to destroy my own life.”
Something knocks at the door to your mind. It is a familiar sensation, like the sound of boots on stone or a guiding command given between the sparking of saber blades, it burns golden-brown like the sun and the tunic on his chest, and it smells like incense from a far away planet, the incense you sometimes smell on his cloak when he passes you by. You let him in.
You think, at first, that sharing your mind with someone is a bit like a kiss. A gentle nudging of one mind against the other until both become one, pressing thoughts and feelings and vague ideas together like a mouth or tongue might go against your own. You think that it feels like the kind of intimacy you’ve always yearned for but feared you would never know. Then you realize that Sol is actually kissing you.
Shock ripples through you fast and hard enough to make your stomach simultaneously drop to the floor and catch in your throat. You can’t breathe, you can’t move, there’s only Sol and his lips and the blazing freedom of peace cutting through the noise that usually clouds your thoughts.
He withdraws far too soon, and it leaves your mouth tingling and bruised. Your eyes flutter open and are unsurprisingly met with the umber-blackened hue of his pupils. So close. So real. His chest heaves with the effort of… what, exactly? Does he suffer from the same strange side effect as you, the unimaginable urge to kiss him again and delve even deeper? Is he fighting to restrain himself as much as you are?
“I feel it, too,” he whispers, and his eyes drop to your tongue as it darts across the seam of your mouth.
“What?” You don’t even dare to dream, but what if…?
Sol swallows heavily. “The pull. You feel it like I do?”
The hand not grasping his lightsaber drops lazily against his sternum as you both shuffle awkwardly into more normal, non-battle stances. “I do,” you reply. “I have. For a long time.”
There is a soft rustling of fabric and breath as Sol takes a moment to clip your saber back to your belt – the feel of his fingers, even through his gloves, lingering on your belt will stick with you forever – and to gently pry his from your hand. Then he reaches for your shoulder and lays his hand there, his thumb rubbing a semi-circle into your collarbone.
“Is this what you were afraid of? That I would not return your feelings?”
The ease with which he sees through your carefully constructed walls before completely blowing them to pieces is startling. Not even your Master is quite this forward with you. It’s different, to be sure, yet oddly refreshing.
“Among other things,” is your bashful response, half murmured to the space above his shoulder.
“We must have the courage to say what we want, even if we are afraid.” His hand resettles upon your cheek and your breath rushes out of you in an instant. All you can think is Sol Sol Sol Sol Sol, the only prayer you’ll ever need. “Are you afraid now?”
“No.”
“Then… I would like to kiss you again.”
When he smiles, you feel it curling up around your heart, a string that ties you to him, first knotted when he summoned your saber into his hand and now finished with a kiss.

Devoted (Qimir x Padawan reader)
Rating: Angst | Acts like he’s not obsessed but he is | Light fluff
Summary: You were devoted, but no matter how hard you try, you never seem to be enough.
The fight was brutal. Each swing of a lightsaber had casted the dark night into colorful arrays of blue, yellow, green, and red.
“Master!” You yelled as you quickly stepped in front of him to take the graze of the green lightsaber that was aimed at him. Your side burned with pain, but that didn’t stop you from protecting your master.
“Go!” He used the force to push you out of the fight, “Find her!” Your master ordered you as you pushed back another Jedi by using the force.
You quickly fled the fight, knowing that he could handle himself. You focused on your task to find Mae… The person you considered a friend since she came into your life. Yet she still betrayed you… Your master… She…
She abandoned you.
That anger surged you forward as you spotted her trying to run into the dense forest.
“You were my friend!” You screamed with rage, using the force to knock down a tree in her path.
There was guilt heavy in her gaze as she looked back, but she didn’t stop in her effort to flee. She only jumped over the tree and continued on her path.
She didn’t try to explain to you why she chose to betray you and your master. She just ran from you.
Before you could follow her into the jungle, a young girl tackled you to the ground. You cried out in rage at the one who dared to stop you from confronting your friend. You struggled beneath the girl until you were able to find your footing just before she could cuff you.
You pushed who, throwing her off of you by using the force. You didn’t care that her back hit against one of the boulders, you could only hope that would stop her from attacking… Of course you were wrong. It seemed like you were wrong about a lot of things lately.
You quickly got to your feet and ignited your blue lightsaber just as she ignited hers. It was clear that she was surprised to see a lightsaber in your hands.
“Leave us alone.” You gave her a warning before protecting what was yours.
“Who did you take that from?” She spat with a righteous glare.
An uneasy feeling grew in your chest as your tears blurred the anger in your eyes, “Myself.” With a cry you rushed at the Jedi, anger filling your heart.
Saber clashed against saber as you evaded her every attack. It was clear that with each passing minute, Mae was getting farther away and your master… You dreaded the disappointment he would show you the moment you return to him empty handed… If you return.
You rolled away from the girl, using the force to push her back, but she got the best of you as you tried to get up. She used the force to send you tumbling back to the ground, your lightsaber being thrown from your hand in the fall.
With all her might ran towards you with her blade raised. Your heart stopped and you watched your life flash before your eyes, waiting for the moment her lightsaber would meet your chest but… That moment never came. It wouldn’t.
Not while he was around.
He would never allow you to die.
Not by anyone’s hands but his.
His movement was swift and fluid, gracefully done with a force of strength that had the girl scrambling to get her footing. But she was a fair fight, using two lightsabers to face your master.
They fought against one another with conviction and speed to the side that they were fighting for, but you could tell that he was running out of time. You could see it in the way the he kept glancing in the direction that Mae ran in.
You wanted to make him proud, make it easier for his mission and so you used the force to send a pillow of sand in the young Jedi’s face. It took less than a second before your master was swooping you up into his arms and leaping over the tree without any struggle.
“Where?” He demanded as he ran faster into the woods.
You closed your eyes and felt through the force. The strong attachment that you had to the force impressed your master, something that he only told you through the hum behind his mask. You tracked Mae with ease and open your eyes to tell him, “Forward. Then left.”
He slowed down and set you on the ground, “Keep up.”
“Wait! Master…” You spoke hesitantly before he could start running again.
“What is it dove?” He held his lightsaber ready to ignite it from any danger that could be heading towards us.
“Maybe we should leave while we still can?” You voiced your concerns, “She chose her side. She doesn’t want to follow this path anymore. How can we help someone who doesn’t want to be helped? We could just—ah”Before you could finish your throat was suddenly constricted by an unknown force.
He tilted his head down, a dark tint to his voice as he pulled you closer to him with the flick of his wrist and suddenly he was choking you with his bare hand, “I will have my acolyte and nothing can keep me from that.”
You struggled against his grip, “I am your padawan too.” You tried to gasp for breath.
“And you are never going to amount to anything more than that.” His words were harsh as he let go of you. You gasped for breath as he turned his back on you, “Let’s go.”
You nodded your head, a dull ache in your chest as you followed behind him.
It wasn’t too long after that you found her, his red lightsaber just missing her head by an inch. Your throat still felt sore but you had nothing to say as you stood behind your master. Your gaze felt tired, betrayed by the two people you trusted most.
Mae was quick to beg for her life, “Please forgive me master, I was weak.”
“You’ve always been weak.” He stated and you thought he would kill her or at least hurt her for her betrayal, but instead his saber sliced through her cuffs.
It made your heart ache in a form of jealousy as you took a step back to distance yourself. You felt an odd rift forming that you didn’t know how to mend.
As he lifted his light saber again, he was pulled back by Master Sol, the same master Mae was meant to kill. Who you sure was his padawan had appeared as well, the two targeting your master in two versus one battle.
Your mind was torn on helping the master who thought you to be too weak to be his acolyte or helping the girl who betrayed your trust.
Instead you chose yourself and the only other person you thought could care about you.
“Mae.” You called out her name as she attempted to flee.
“What is it?” She wondered with a confused look in her gaze.
“Did… Did Qimir bring you here?” You asked her softly despite the battle a few feet away.
“He did… I tied him up not too far from here. About ten clicks west.” Her brows furrowed even more, “Why?”
He must have a ship to get off of this planet. You thought. He could help you right? If your master didn’t want you then why were you here?
You didn’t answer her as the fight suddenly entered your direction and it was time for you and Mae to flee. Your footsteps carried you into the forest, the sound of lightsabers clashing echoed off the trees. Your master didn’t try to find you, intent on getting to Mae instead.
So you kept running with one thought in mind… Ten clicks west and he can take you far away from this place.
You were a few feet away before it felt like you couldn’t move. It was like the force tugged you back to him no matter how far you tried to run. “I can’t…” You whispered painfully out to the string that tugged you back to him, “Please.”
The feeling didn’t stop and you regretted glancing back because it only sealed your fate to him. With a frustrated cry you turned around and ran back sliding behind him just in time to block Sol’s lightsaber from connecting with his back.
“You protect him with a blue lightsaber… Why?” Sol asked in between the blows that were shared.
Because I never embraced the dark side, only him. You thought with a frown as you stared down at the color of your light saber. It mocked you, letting everyone see how you could never be his acolyte… How you could never be anything more to him than just a lovesick fool.
“I will protect him.” Always. You grit your teeth as you lunged at him again and again. Your movements were quick and delicate as you gracefully moved around Sol as if you were in a dance.
“You could be so much more than his puppet.” Master Sol tried to convince you, but it only made you angrier, “Cut your string to him.”
“I’m more than a puppet to my master! He cares for me!” You were almost yelling at him, tears of frustration filling your eyes. He is mine. I am his. He promised. You reminded yourself weakly.
“Then why would he take someone else under his wing? A master only has one padawan.” Master Sol said, “He replaced you because he could not see your potential.”
His words had you fault wrong enough for him to make his final move. You grunted as he shoved you onto the ground with the strength of his force.
“He…” Your voice broke as it trailed off into a pitiful whimper.
“He doesn’t protect you.” Sol spoke softly, “Stop fighting for him and come with me. You would make a great Jedi.”
“Do not twist her mind with useless words.” You master spoke.
It was then that Sol witnessed the fatal three stabs that were given to the padawan as your master came out victorious once again.
You craned your neck to see your master only now realizing that his helmet had be torn off from his head.
“Her allegiance to me is stronger than your former padawan.” His voice was clear, not filtered by his mask.
“Qimir…” You whispered his name just as Sol spoke.
“Jecki…” The anguish in Sol’s voice was clear as he mourned his padawan.
“Was that its name?” Qimir had asked, a cold tone to his voice. He didn’t particularly care as she was not his mission.
No, his mission voiced his name as well, “Qimir?”
“Hi.” He smiled at her with his usual bright tone that had you turning flush each time you saw him.
You thought maybe there could be something between the light conversation and jokes shared, but… You clenched your fists. Of course, it would always be her.
In only a blink of an eye Mae was in his grasp being choked while Sol’s lightsaber was directed at your neck.
“Directing your lightsaber towards an unarmed person isn’t very Jedi of you.” Qimir mused.
“Let her go.” Sol demanded, his threat was perfectly clear.
Qimir thought about it before answering, “Ah… I don’t think so.”
“She is no longer your acolyte.” Master Sol mentioned, “She has been trying to flee from your grasp, that should be answer enough.”
“She doesn’t have a choice in her life.” Qimir’s gaze darker as he looked towards Sol, “Not after she betrayed me.”
“You already have a padawan. Take her and leave Mae alone.” Sol suggested.
It made your stomach twist in knots. Was what Master Sol told me before just a lie then? A trick to throw me off guard? Your gaze darkened as you realized. He didn’t care for my wellbeing either.
“She is too soft… Too… What did you say? Too much like a Jedi to be the pupil I need. She wouldn’t make a good acolyte.” Qimir clicked his tongue at the word, but he smiled as he spoke lightly, “But she is loyal. The shining light to my darkness.” His gaze flickered towards yours, a possessive glint to them, “Aren’t you little dove?”
Your gaze fell away from his. You were tired of all the endless games. Of being used and taken advantage of by men who would toss you aside to get to their true prize... I want to go home. You thought as you stared as the small cuts on your hands.
“Why risk discovery? Why not run?” Sol questioned.
“Well…” Qimir pressed the blunt end of his lightsaber harder against Mae’s head, “I did wear a mask.”
“What do you want?” Sol wasn’t here to play any of Qimir’s games, not this time.
“Freedom.” Qimir shoved Mae to her knees painfully, “The freedom to wield my power the way I like. How I choose without having to answer to Jedi like you.” He explained.
“I want a pupil… An acolyte.” He pressed before shoving his lightsaber once again against the side of Mae’s head, “But this one went back on our deal.”
Qimir clicked his tongue with a sigh, “She exposed me. So, now I have to kill every singly last one of you…” He looked directly at Sol, “I don’t make the rules. The Jedi do. And the Jedi say I can’t exist.” It was then his gaze glanced down towards your direction, “They see my face, they all die.”
Your heart beat loudly in your chest at his words. Did that mean you as well? Would he kill you because you were too weak to be his pupil? Because you finally saw his face?
The silence was defeating, but Qimir was quick to fill the void, “Aw look at you two. Right back where you started.” He chuckled, “I should say the same about us, little dove.”
Sol pushed the light saber an inch closer to your neck. The betrayel in your eyes at both men held a thousand words that Sol would carry in his chest as he made a threat to take your life.
“I am giving you a choice. Your dove or your former acolyte.” Sol demanded.
Qimir’s gaze darkened, “Killing my dove would only destroy the Jedi code you hold so dear.” He bared his teeth.
“If it stops you… I will do what I must.” Sol pressed the lightsaber closer to your neck.
“I don’t need her. Do what you want.” He clicked his tongue and looked away from your rejected form, pitiful on the forest floor, “I came here for one thing anyways.”
Tears trailed down your face when he didn’t choose you. The rejection hurt more than the blinding heat settled near you. Of course he would choose you. Of course he would choose the girl currently frozen in his grip.
“Are you sure?” Master Sol asked one more time.
It was then that you could feel the heat of the lightsaber scorching your skin. The heat became almost unbearable as you were held in place, forbidden to move. A dark red mark appeared on your bare neck, causing you to cry out in pain.
“Fuck— Stop!” Qimir pushed Mae to the ground a stepped towards Sol with a dangerous glint in his eyes.
“Hurt her and I promise I will tear you limb from limb.” Qimir ignited his lightsaber, the red glaring against his skin menacingly, “And I always keep my promise.”
It was in that moment that his helmet began to shake and you saw a yellow beam of light ignite behind him, “Behind you!” You yelled at Qimir and he quickly sprung into action.
He faced the Jedi knight Yord with quick movements, unfazed as he grinned at his impeding victory.
“You?” Yord asked in utter disbelief. You could see the shock on his face at Qimir’s reveal.
“Me.” Qimir grinned before spinning him around and snapping his neck, tossing him to the side without any strain.
Mae fled without a second thought towards the gruesome action and you were able to roll away from Master Sol. You got up and held your ground as you watched Qimir and Sol look at one another. With an angered cry Sol charged at your master and the adrenaline of today surged towards you as you went to your master’s aid.
However, you didn’t see Osha in the forest and the feeling of electricity suddenly shot through you causing you to hit your head against one of the trees. The last thing you remembered was Qimir yelling your name before you blacked out.
It was the feeling of a steady rocking movement that brought you out of your sleep. The familiar hum of masters— Qimir’s ship left you feeling at ease as you pulled yourself out of your daze.
“Good. You’re awake.” Qimir’s voice was clear as he walked towards your bunk, “Thought I lost you there for a sec.”
“Would you even care if you did?” You muttered. It was a slip of the tongue from the pounding in your head, but you felt good saying it all the same.
“You are in my ship are you not?” He answered plainly as he placed a glass of water beside you.
You watched as he grabbed a lock of your hair and admired it between his fingertips, “I should kill you, you know? You’ve seen my face, you know who I am.” He hummed, “But I know you wouldn’t hurt me. We’re connected.”
Tears sprung to your eyes, “Why do you keep me?”
“Isn’t that obvious?” He stood in your doorway glancing back at you with a half grin.
“You’re mine.”

✩彡 Master Sol - Bittersuite | استاد سول
I can't fall in love with you.
He's choking on his guilt again. Scorching memories reciting hymns of fire and black smoke. He can not love, he can not pine, his romances always end in doom. End in bitter blood drenching stars and ghosts scattered across solar systems. Sol can not love you, he must not love you. You're safer out of his reach.
L'amour de ma vie.
He wants to be the one, etching galaxies across your heart and spilling stars into your bones with every kiss. Your smile dips his world in midday pink, all roses and sun blooms. Your voice trails after him, haunting halls and abandoned training rooms. Your name sticks inside his throat, sticky caramel abrading his tongue to be let loose. Love of his life.
Love so bittersweet.
There are other universes, he likes to think, where his mistakes are little and he has the right to hold you in his arms. You call out to him during missions, all epithets and formality, he longs to hear to say 'Sol'. just 'Sol'.
Longs to kiss you in the dark where his memories can't reach him. You're so bittersweet…

He chews on the thought of you, sour under his tongue. He watches you parry under the stars, saber humming orthodox hymns. He can spill lies from his lips like coronal rain. But the confession never sticks, he shouldn't want this, want you.
And I don't want to want you.
In his dreams he's more honest, leaving a galaxy of love bites across the vast expansion of your essence. Kissing the dark corners of your eyes and sucking tenderly on the pearls of your spine, open-mouthed when he reaches your nape. Curling fingers in the nebula of your hair. You sing his name so freely it has him seeing stars.
But you're all it takes to break a promise.
He kisses you, against the temple wall, drinking in your devotion like elysian ichor. The stars in your eyes explode, whispering tenets between each breath. He feels the force reverberating between your bones, holy, ethereal. This is wrong, fundamentally, spiritual, he doesn't want to want you…But he has to.
"I, I need you."
༻。。☾ Qimir - Bossa Nova | قیمیر
Love when it makes you lose your bearings.
His love is an asteroid field, cataclysmic and labyrinthine, always dodging bullets aimed point blank at tattered hearts. He's always caught wondering who's truly lost. You or him. Swimming through wandering stars and pretending it's just a force-willed romance. But love doesn't lie to keep one compliant. Caging you between quasars and stella novae.
Some information is not for sharing.
"Eyes down, you've not yet earned to see my face"
You obey, little lamb that you are. Eyes tracing the ebony of his boots. He wonders if he should tell you, grasp your chin, and force his mask off. Shatter your world with his eyes. But you're too cute like this, pining after your master and playing little lovers with Qimir. It's torture most sweetly, he traces the crown of your hair with metal instead of lips, whispering sabbath shibboleths into your head. His love is red in every way.
A lot can change in twenty seconds. A lot can happen in the dark.
The cave is pitch dark, hidden from prying moonlight. It's in the dark that Sith revel in the dark that they renew. Qimir knows some things can only be confessed in blood. That's why he pushes the jagged edges of stars between your lips. Apex of your throat in hand forcing you beneath him. You giggle stardust as he marrs your bones, kissing cuts and open wounds. He lets his mask slide off, to the tune of your heartbeat. Savoring its clank and all it entails. Your shock and fear taste delicious on his tongue as does your fruitless struggle. He kisses you again all passion and possession. He likes you better when you taste of horror and shattered realities.
"You belong to me..."
✧࿐ Torbin - Birds of a Feather | توربین
We should stick together.
You pull him through the temple, laughing as you run away from another angry master. Torbin follows lovestruck, he sees peace in your eyes, in your smile. Hears it in the candance of your voice. He kisses your knuckles when you beat him at saber practice and passes you heart-shaped sticky notes during lessons. He wants to be here with you forever. Together in an eternal blush.
 I'd never think I wasn't better alone.
He whispers your name between breaths, kissing each syllable. He traces your face in the stars, cursing the remote planets he's been sent to. He misses you, but the phrase is never quite worded right, his master can never know, never understand the rhyme behind his eagerness.
Home, home, home. He repeats the words with frantic reverence. Home is where the lights paint you in their heavenly glow. Where you hold his hand and kiss fireflies across his cheek. Home is you, it's always been you…
I'll love you 'til the day that I die.
You trace the scar across his eye, dejected. Torbin kisses the hollow of your palm, basking in your presence. He made it back to you, that's all that matters. Not the witches or the massacred planet. Not the disappointment of his master or Sol's new apprentice. You're the only thing that matters to him, the only thing that has ever mattered.
"Stay with me forever my love."

Sorry this isn't a request, just a question! What did you think of the latest acolyte episode?!
I genuinely liked it. Not gonna lie, I was excited to see Qimir and Osha, but i enjoyed it. I liked to see what really happened and why Sol felt so guilty. I love Sol and I understand why he did what he did but I'm really excited to see Mae's and Osha's reaction.
Also got this idea, when we had the first flashback, it showed us only what Osha remembered. I don't wanna say, but what if Sol was lying to Mae and this flashback also wasn't a full true. But that's just a stupid theory.
I think if we're gonna get S2, Osha will turn dark and stay with Qimir, be his apprentice, and Mae will turn light.
Also, read this somewhere, Osha just wanted freedom and be understood. That's why she went to the Jedi. She never felt understood in her family. And even Sol couldn't give her that, cause in this flashback we saw again, he switched their names. But Qimir always recognised her. The moment she went into his shop in ep2, he knew immediately that wasn't her. HE UNDERSTOOD HER
Something's gonna happen between Osha and Qimir and I'm ready for it.
Also, I'm betting Sol will die. Either next ep or in S2.

Master Sol x reader (gender neutral) warnings: Master/Jedi Knight Relationship, mutual pining, secret relationship, lust, canon-typical violence, head injury, force visions, light angst, arguing, teasing, inappropriate use of the force, an absolutely horny sol, praise, biting, fingering, sex (reader receiving but no parts specified), love confession word count: 7.6k summary: "You couldn't deny the way you felt for Sol, and wondered if he had felt the same way for you. Deciding to find out the truth if he did or not, you wanted things put to rest. You were almost expecting rejection, knowing how Sol wanted to abide by the Jedi Code. As you walked toward his quarters, you prepared for the sting of rejection and the ability to hopefully throw those feelings away, even though you knew you wouldn't be able to. That was what the plan was."
"These feelings and emotions were keeping you turbulent, uneasy, unfocused. You had to face them head on, and confront them. Most of all, you needed to tell Sol the truth about how you felt, and that you wanted more."

A/N : I can’t believe I actually finished writing this fic! It’s my first long English fic, and I’m pretty proud of it. I know my writing still has a lot of flaws (since English isn’t my strong suit), but I’m so happy people enjoyed it.
I loveeeee yapping about my own writing, so I plan to share more about this fic in another post—things like plot points I didn’t include and alternative endings I considered. Hope that sounds interesting to you, LOL
Lastly, a huge thank you to everyone who stuck with this fic till the end. Your comments and encouragement really kept me going, and I couldn’t have done it without you <3
Ps.Please go back and read the Intro again before starting the final chapter, as it’s part of the ending. (I used a storytelling style where the story opens with the ending) Reading the Intro first will help you understand the story more clearly.
And don’t forget to play this song while reading >> Skugge
I listened to it while writing the ending, and it really sets the mood

[Episodes 14] The Power of Two. (Completed)
When contemplating deeply, every entity in the universe is intricately connected in various ways.
On the quantum level, all particles are entangled and influence each other regardless of distance. Even the smallest, minor actions can trigger unforeseen consequences that ripple through the universe. This is far more complex than ordinary humans can immediately comprehend.
And that’s exactly how fate works.
You know that the chain reaction has already begun the moment you decided to shoot Yord yourself.
The stun blaster is designed to be non-lethal—at most, it would knock Yord unconscious and possibly immobile for several hours. But this is all you need to save his life from the fate you've foreseen on the path ahead.
You've always known—Yord and Qimir are polar opposites, destined to kill each other. Yord stands for the light, while Qimir embodies the darkness. They cannot coexist in the same world. Whenever they fight, one must die, or both shall perish. There are only those three possible outcomes.
So you chose a fourth path: to prevent them from confronting each other so that neither would have to die.
Only now do you realize how much selfishness lies beneath love. You should have ended the calamity destined to occur a hundred years from now, but instead, you chose to walk the opposite path, all because of one word: love.
The essence of Paul that flows within you still remembers the agony of the day Chani and Alia Atreides departed. Even though thousands of years have gone by, the torment remains too vivid to forget—like your heart being torn apart while still beating and your soul shattered beyond repair. You can't bear the risk of losing anyone to fate’s cruel hand again.
That's why you did it. You gambled on a path that has never appeared in any of your visions, not knowing what the consequences would be.
And you never expected that the consequences of your choice would ripple out so quickly.
You didn’t realize it...until you had to face the truth before your eyes half an hour later.
How could this be?
You stood frozen, as though the entire world had stopped spinning. Your gaze was fixed on Jackie's body, now lying motionless on the ground among the other corpses. The deep, searing wound from a lightsaber had cut through her flesh, blood pooling beneath her, staining the Jedi robes that were once yellow but were now soaked in a dark, gruesome hue.
The acrid stench of burnt flesh mingled with the metallic scent of blood, hanging thick in the air.
Jackie is still breathing, but her breaths grow weaker with every passing second. Her face contorts in excruciating pain, a pain that lasts only for a brief moment before her final breath escapes. Her eyes remain wide open—a sign that life has already slipped away.
At that moment, you hear a scream echoing in your ears, but the haze of shock leaves everything muffled.
You don't even know whose scream it is—Sol's or your own?
Never once did you think Jackie would die. In every vision you’d seen, she always survived, though gravely injured—losing an arm in the fight against Qimir. That was why you decided to come back instead of escaping alone. You knew that as long as Qimir lived, there was no escaping him—not for you. But Jackie still had a chance. If only you could get her and Yord aboard the ship in time before everything spiraled out of control, that would be enough.
But when you arrived, it was already too late. You saw it clearly with your own eyes: Qimir’s red lightsaber pierced through Jackie’s body three times, each strike aimed at a vital spot. There was no way she could survive such an attack.
You realized too late that the death of someone you loved was inevitable and unchangeable. If Yord and Qimir lived, it meant that Jackie would be the one to die. This was the consequence of your selfish attempt to alter fate. Jackie didn't die by Qimir's hand—it was your decision that sealed her fate.
You want to cry. The corners of your eyes burn with the sting of unshed tears, but none come. The grief is suppressed by the flood of information about the future that surges through your mind. You know you’ll mourn when the time comes, but not now. Not when death is crawling toward you.
“Run!”
A sharp voice jolts you from your thoughts. Finally, you hear it clearly—it’s Sol’s voice. He stands across the way, disheveled and wounded, with a minor gash at his side. His face shows shock, his voice shaking with fear. “Run! You shouldn’t be here!”
But his warning comes too late. You don’t even have a chance to respond, let alone follow his command. Suddenly, an invisible force wraps around you, tightening with each second, squeezing the breath from your lungs as if trying to crush you completely. You gasp, struggling for air, unable to move, like a drowning person on the verge of losing consciousness.
In that instant, memories from the depths of your mind flood back, dragging you into the nightmare you once foresaw. Each scene is like pieces of a puzzle coming together to form the terrible reality before you.
Your eyes fix on a tall figure in a black cloak, his deformed metal helmet etched with a grotesque grin. He stands amidst the scattered corpses of fallen Jedi, radiating an aura of ruthless malevolence. His gaze, hidden beneath the helmet, stares intensely at you. Though you cannot see his face, you clearly sense the fury seething within him.
And in the blink of an eye, a tremendous force pulls you toward him with ease, leaving you powerless to resist.
You are completely at his mercy, your body suspended in mid-air as his large hand grips your throat. He could crush your windpipe or snap your neck in an instant; however, he holds back. You sense his intent through the shared consciousness that binds the two of you. This is how The Stranger plays with his prey. When he wears that helmet, he becomes a merciless hunter, driven only by the instinct to kill.
Sol doesn't hesitate. The moment he sees you in danger, he charges forward, his blue lightsaber flashing brilliantly as he swings it toward the Sith Lord. But the enemy moves with surprising speed. He yanks you closer, locking you in a chokehold with his arm, then tilts his body slightly, using his helmet as a shield to deflect the attack. When Sol’s lightsaber strikes the cortosis metal, it sparks and fizzles, rendering Sol’s weapon temporarily useless.
You draw a deep breath, your body tense as the Sith Lord's lightsaber hilt presses against your neck. He hasn’t activated it yet, but you know the moment he does, your face and brain will be reduced to charred flesh in an instant.
“Don’t even think about trying any tricks if you don’t want to lose your tongue,” comes the cold whisper in your ear. You understand the threat well: Qimir is the only one who knows your true capabilities. The Voice is a powerful secret weapon for the Bene Gesserit, and he won't give you the chance to wield it.
Even if you dared to try, it wouldn’t change anything. It would only hasten the end for both you and Sol. You’ve already seen the future that awaits if you choose that path. So, you stay silent for now, your mind racing to find another way—any way to turn the tables on Qimir.
“Let her go. She has nothing to do with this. Let it be between you and me!” Sol shouts, reigniting his lightsaber, but you can see that his hope hasn’t reignited.
Apart from Yord, who lies unconscious somewhere in the forest, Sol is now the only Jedi left breathing, while his comrades, including his padawan, are all dead. He should have been dead too, if you hadn’t intervened.
“But you brought her here, didn’t you?” the Sith taunts. “And I’m certain you wouldn’t have made it this far without this Bene Gesserit witch guiding you.”
As he finishes speaking, you feel his arm tighten around your neck, making it almost impossible to breathe. The suffocating pain forces you to struggle, your hands weakly hitting his arm to no avail. All you get in return is a mocking laugh.
“Bene Gesserit... the origin of both the Sith and the Jedi. Isn’t it fascinating that such remarkable beings still exist in the galaxy?” He reaches out, gripping your chin and studying your face closely before turning his attention back to Sol. "But what a pity that she chose the wrong side."
Sol shifts, readying himself to strike again, but the man in black is one step ahead. He lifts the hilt of his lightsaber to your temple without a word, yet his intent is clear—if Sol dares to take another step forward, you will die.
The Jedi grits his teeth, reluctantly deactivating his lightsaber. His eyes remain fixed on you as he addresses the Sith, "Tell me, what do you want?"
He’s stalling for time, you think. But how long can it last? You know you can’t rely on Sol alone. You need to find a way out too.
A harsh breath hisses out from beneath his helmet; it’s hard to tell whether it comes from exhaustion or amusement.
"At first, I thought I only wanted freedom: freedom from the Jedi's absurd rules, freedom to feel regret and anger, and freedom to follow my own desires," he answered flatly, as if what he desired were something ordinary, not the taking of lives. "But now I know what I truly want. I want to change; I want to liberate this universe from self-proclaimed guardians like you..."
His words stop abruptly. The silence that follows makes your heart tremble. You can feel his cold, burning rage—rage directed at the Jedi and rage directed at you.
"...And I would have achieved it sooner if I hadn’t been betrayed by someone.”
A scream rips from your throat, unprepared for the sudden, crushing weight of his boot as it slams hard into your shin. The sound of breaking bones is crystal clear. The pain is so intense that tears spring to your eyes, and your legs give way, no longer able to hold you up. But you don’t collapse completely, as Qimir still holds you upright, his grip on your arm unrelenting. His lightsaber is still pressed to your temple, while he turns to shake his head to warn Sol, who is ready to lunge forward again.
“Think about it, Sol. Why are you still trying to save her? She’s the reason you’re in this mess. Without her, you all might still be alive.”
The Sith Lord speaks with chilling indifference, completely unfazed by your whimpers as he presses his boot lightly against your broken leg, deliberately toying with your suffering. "But this one... she exposed me. So, now I have to kill every single last one of you."
You flinch, a cold shiver running down your spine. His voice—there’s something disturbingly strange about it, twisted and eerie, nothing like the Qimir you once knew.
Time is running out. Your heightened awareness warns you: he will kill Sol first, then possibly you.
You bite down hard on your lip, tasting blood. If there were any other way, you wouldn’t resort to this, but it’s the only option you know will work. And right now, there’s no other choice.
Taking a deep breath, you force yourself to speak, your voice as loud as you can manage.
"Please... don’t kill me. I’m pregnant!”
Silence falls instantly. Even the soft whisper of the wind seems unnaturally loud in the sudden stillness.
No one can see the expression behind his helmet, but you know without a doubt—he is shocked, utterly stunned by what he’s just heard.
And Sol notices it too—the brief moment when the Sith Lord’s guard drops, his grip on the lightsaber loosening without him realizing. It’s a tiny flaw, difficult to spot unless one is well-trained.
As if time stands still, Sol suddenly meets your glance, recognizing the purposeful look in your eyes.
In that heartbeat, he knows exactly what to do.
Everything takes place within seconds: the Jedi ignites his lightsaber, lunging forward with all his strength and slashing into Qimir’s arm—the arm holding the lightsaber—sending both blood and the weapon crashing to the ground. The Sith Lord’s yell echoes through the forest.
Seizing the moment, you slip from Qimir’s grasp effortlessly. Sol pulls you toward safety, shoving you in another direction and shouting, “Get to the ship, quickly! I’ll catch up!”
He will never catch up to me, you think, glancing back at Sol one last time before turning away. Both of you know it—fate is already sealed. Sol will not leave this place tonight, and neither will you.
You force your battered body to keep moving, relying on the one leg that still functions, though each step is agonizing, nearly unbearable. Finally, you give up, sighing in resignation. With your current condition, reaching the ship is impossible. Fate has blocked every path—unchangeable and irreversible.
The only option left is to face the consequences of the choices you have made.
Weary, you sit down on a large stone not far from where you were. Jedi corpses still litter the area. A deep sorrow weighs on your chest as your gaze falls upon the faces of the fallen, remembering that just hours ago, they were all still alive.
Human life is so fragile, you think. No matter how many times you witness death, you can never grow used to it.
The sky visibly darkens as clouds turn a dull gray. The scent of moisture in the air gradually mutes the smell of blood. Rain will come soon, but you make no move to seek shelter. You place a hand on your slightly swollen belly, feeling the tiny life forming inside—the fruit of an instinctual mistake—now becoming another life reaching for the future amidst an approaching catastrophe.
At four months, it’s hard for most to see, but your Bene Gesserit training allows you to know everything about the growing flesh within you. Events unfold exactly as you’ve foreseen, and when this child is born, the future is certain—the beginning of the Skywalker and the path of a new Kwisatz Haderach.
You don’t want this child to be born, but it’s beyond your control now. The intricate weave of fate and bloodlines over the millennia has led everything to this point. Regardless of how much you try to avoid or change it, the Kwisatz Haderach will come into existence. It happened with Jessica thousands of years ago, and now it’s happening to you.
“The Bene Gesserit believe they can control everything, but the one thing they can never control is fate.”
Paul Atreides’ words resonate in your consciousness. You recall him saying this when you first discovered the truth about what will transpire in the next century through the realm of Alam al-Mithal.
“Every action in the present is a gamble for a precarious future. You cannot dictate the outcome to be what you want, and you’ll never know what will happen next until you’ve already made your choice,” Paul had said.
You tremble, feeling both isolated and terrified. It’s a profound fear—so deep that you don’t know how to express it. You know the path ahead has already changed. The universe has deviated from its course because of your actions, yet you have no idea whether things will get better or worse.
You close your eyes, forcing your mind into rapid meditation, trying to regain control over your thoughts. You push yourself into an awareness of the countless probabilities of the future, alongside everything that has occurred in the past. Those paths stretch out in every direction, twisting and overlapping in a bewildering tangle like gazing at the rippling surface of water that constantly morphs.
In that haze of uncertainty, you witness Paul Atreides wielding a crysknife, locked in a life-or-death duel with Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen, as per the ancient tradition. He uses that knife to kill Feyd, claiming the title of Emperor on that very day.
This marks the first turning point of the universe.
Next, you find yourself pulling the trigger of a stun blaster, firing at Yord from behind to shield him from confronting Qimir, thus altering the fate that could have led him to his death today.
This is the second turning point.
The change doesn’t only affect Yord’s fate. The ripple effect expands, enveloping everything within the universe. Multiple branching paths start to converge, merging into a singular path.
Finally... you glimpse the true outcome of the path you've chosen, which will reveal itself in over a century.
This is the gamble you've already placed your bet on, for this purpose and for this moment.
Tumblr media
"Qimir"
His name sounds strange when you utter it, as if it's not a name you're familiar with, and the man before you is not the man you know.
You understand why you feel this way: he is no longer your Qimir but The Stranger—the Sith Lord responsible for the slaughter of the Jedi.
He stands before you, unmasked, his dark eyes cold as ice, staring at you impassively. There’s no longer a need for him to hide. Every aspect of him, every dark secret, has been laid bare—just as everything about you has.
The man chuckles softly and moves even closer, cutting off any chance for you to escape. You swallow hard, trying to turn your face away from his intense gaze. But he doesn't let you. His fingers, wet with others' blood, dig into both of your cheeks, pressing hard enough to hurt, forcing you to look only at him.
"Surprised?" He leans in closer, his hot breath on your face, and whispers softly in your ear, "I told you, you can't run away from me."
His words are not merely a threat to you; they are the truth.
Because you both are bound by fate—an unbreakable karmic bond. No matter how much you try to run away from him, you will always be drawn back together. The only way to truly be free of him is death.
"I know, but a little effort wouldn't hurt, right?"
You respond, your tone almost playful, a smile still lingering on your pale face. It's as if everything is normal and under control, displaying no fear despite being at a complete disadvantage.
Your demeanor causes Qimir to furrow his brow, sensing something suspicious beneath your seemingly ordinary smile.
He doesn't quite understand, not until you slip your hand under your clothes.
Your body instinctively moves; muscle memory from years of training kicks in. In a flash, the knife hidden in your clothes flips into your palm, its sharp tip poised just inches from Qimir’s face.
You still remember every technique Qimir taught you—especially how to fight with a knife. You know you have numerous opportunities to thrust the knife into his vital points—his throat, neck, heart, or lungs.
But instead, you turn the knife on yourself. Without hesitation, without a second thought, you plunge it toward your own heart.
Before the knife pierces your flesh, Qimir's hand shoots out, gripping your wrist just in time. His dark eyes widen in shock, almost seeming terrified. Then, quickly, his expression twists into anger.
"What the fuck are you doing?!" he snaps.
"I thought you wanted me dead," you reply calmly, indifferent to his anger.
Qimir falls silent, appearing speechless for a moment. "I don't want you dead," he finally says, though he doesn’t seem certain of his own words.
It's changed again,  you think, but this time, you feel an unusual sense of relief.
You're well aware that he could kill you at any moment. You’ve seen all the possibilities of how Qimir might end your life, and what just happened was one of those scenarios.
Even though you’re skilled at fighting, you know you could never match Qimir. Had you chosen to stab him moments ago, you would have failed, and he would have killed you without hesitation. You’d have met a miserable end right here, just like in the visions you’ve seen so many times before.
However, by choosing to turn the knife on yourself, you altered the course of events. Qimir was caught off guard, never expecting you would actually dare to do it.
You’ve made him angry, of course, but you’ve also ignited the fear he tries so hard to conceal. It reminds him of the time you drank the Water of Life and slipped into a near-death coma for weeks. During that time, Qimir had been frantic and panicked, not knowing how to save you and fearing that you might die.
Qimir may not realize it yet—or perhaps he’s unwilling to admit it. However, witnessing this moment again will eventually compel him to confront the truth: he doesn’t truly want you dead.
This is all part of your plan. Your reckless actions sow a seed of fear in Qimir’s heart, and from now on, the thought of killing you will never cross his mind again.
Since escaping from Qimir is impossible, you must ensure your safety while trapped by his side.
“But you broke my leg!” You pretend to remain defiant, pointing to your leg and matching his anger with your own. “And you held your lightsaber to my head. Now you’re telling me you don’t want me dead? How am I supposed to believe that?”
Qimir clenches his jaw, appearing as if he wants to grab and shake you until the frustration fades.
Instead of doing that, he lets go of you, stepping back slightly before letting out a long sigh, as if unsure how to deal with you.
“That’s because you betrayed me. The rest? I was just threatening that Jedi.” He speaks through gritted teeth, glancing at your leg before shrugging. “And I’m pretty sure a broken leg won’t kill anyone, will it?”
For a split second, you feel the urge to laugh at his sarcasm, even though there’s nothing remotely funny about this situation.
Both of you look worse for wear—blood-soaked and gravely injured. He’s just killed someone, almost killing you as well.
Who would’ve thought that the two of you would end up sitting across from each other, arguing back and forth like a foolish couple trying to figure out who’s right or wrong?
It feels strange how the tension between you both suddenly eases; for a brief moment, Qimir resembles the man you once knew.
You notice this subtle shift and realize this is the opportunity you’ve been waiting for. You quickly organize your thoughts and steady your emotions. Because there’s something important you need to discuss with Qimir—and this is the perfect moment to do so. There won’t be another chance.
“Qimir, I’ll help you,” you say firmly this time. “I don’t care how many Jedi you kill, but I have one condition.”
Qimir narrows his eyes, his sharp gaze scrutinizing your face as if searching for deception. He doesn’t trust you, especially after you betrayed him once and fled with the Jedi.
Yet, you don’t need to prove anything to him because Qimir needs you. Your power is what he desires, and across the galaxy, you’re the only one who possesses this unique ability.
Your assumption is correct. He finally nods. "What’s your condition?"
"The one person you cannot kill is Yord Fandar."
“Why?”
"Because I’ve seen a vision. He’s the only one who can kill you. You must avoid him," you say, though this isn’t the whole truth. Qimir has an equal chance of killing Yord himself, but it’s better to let him believe otherwise, to keep him away from Yord in the future. "But don’t worry. He won’t be a Jedi anymore after this."
You’re certain of this, as it’s what you’ve seen in your vision—a part of the altered path extending ahead.
The tragedy today will leave a permanent mark on Yord’s soul. Losing all his companions while he alone survives will haunt him like an unforgiveable sin. The guilt will gnaw at him, wearing him down until he can no longer bear the burden of being a Jedi.
Eventually, Yord will choose to leave the Order, turning his back on the Jedi way forever.
In many ways, Yord’s fate mirrors Qimir’s past. But there is one crucial difference: Yord never succumbs to the dark side. He has too much light within him to be overtaken by darkness. He becomes neither Sith nor Jedi, but a Wayseeker,[1] traveling the galaxy in search of the true meaning of life and the Force.
Yord’s life will take another turn when he reaches the planet Naboo, where he is destined to rescue the daughter of a noble family held for ransom by space pirates. This event leads to their falling in love, and Yord will eventually marry her, settling down to build a family and live out his days in peace.
His bloodline will continue, becoming a crucial variable in the future—a girl named Padmé Amidala.
In the future, she will be the love of Anakin Skywalker’s life and the primary reason for his fall to the Dark Side as a Sith Lord, plunging the galaxy into darkness. Yet, at the same time, Padmé’s existence will spark a new hope.
Luke and Leia Skywalker, the twins of Anakin and Padmé, will grow up to stop their father's devastation and restore balance to the Force.
Among the many paths branching through the stream of time, this is the only path where the Kwisatz Haderach faces total defeat.
"Promise me." You insist, eyes locked onto Qimir's with unwavering determination, barely blinking. "Promise me you will believe and do everything as I say."
"You ask for my trust after betraying me, my love?" He retorts sharply.
"You must trust me; you have no other choice." Your voice is calm, cold, and confident, as if you hold all the cards. "And neither do I, my love." The last line deliberately echoes his words.
You watch Qimir carefully, using the Bene Gesserit’s observation techniques. You notice the slight twitch at the corner of his lips—amusement mixed with satisfaction.
“You should have thought like this before betraying me," he murmurs, raising his hand. You have to force yourself not to flinch as his bloodstained fingers touch your cheek. "I have my own conditions, too."
You freeze, suddenly aware of the shifting dynamics. The familiar pressure returns, creeping in slowly and making the atmosphere heavy and uncomfortable. You immediately realize how serious Qimir is about his conditions.
This is a delicate moment for your fate, and you know you cannot afford to make a mistake.
You lower your gaze slightly, your voice dry and uncertain as you ask, "What do you want?"
"You," Qimir says with a teasing smile, though his tone betrays a far darker intent. "You belong to me. That means your life—whether you live or die—depends entirely on me. And don’t ever think about running away from me again."
His fingers trail up to your neck, brushing slowly over your shoulder. Each touch is tender, leaving you frozen as tension seeps through every muscle in your body.
"And I need to ensure this never happens again, even if it means breaking your other leg. But you won't force me to do that, will you?"
He means it, you realize. This is his way of letting you know he’ll forgive you this time, but there won't be a second act of mercy.
As you blink, fragments of the future flash before your eyes, disjointed glimpses of what’s to come—a warning, urging you to brace yourself.
You see countless more deaths on the horizon—deaths you'll help Qimir plan through your visions. You'll have to endure this torment, bitter and broken, haunted by the overwhelming guilt of what you’ve done for the rest of your life.
And you see yourself forever trapped, with Qimir watching your every move. You won't go anywhere without him or his permission. You will never be free again, like a bird with clipped wings.
This is the worst fate possible for you, yet you understand that this is the only path that holds a chance, the last hope to save the universe. You have no choice but to do whatever it takes to protect it, even if it means living as Qimir’s prisoner and forced to commit terrible atrocities for him, without question.
But it will be worth it. It has to be worth it. You reassure yourself silently as you nod slowly in response to Qimir.
He smiles faintly before leaning in to claim your lips in an intense kiss—a kiss that serves as both promise and a vow. His kiss is cold, reminiscent of a winter stripped of warmth, tinged with a metallic hint of blood. You don’t like it, but you don't push him away. You're too exhausted to resist, surrendering to fate and to Qimir.
There's nothing left for you to do but hope—hope that the path you've chosen is the right one.
Even though you will not live to witness the final outcome.

[1] A Wayseeker is actually a position within the Jedi Order, referring to Jedi who want to carry out their duties independently of the Jedi Council's directives. However, in this fanfic, I don't consider Wayseekers to be Jedi like in canon; instead, I’m writing Wayseekers as independent Force users, completely separate from both Jedi and Sith.

He ate my Heart (University AU, Halloween)
Tumblr media
Summary: A student from Coruscant's 'High Republic' University has organized a Halloween party for everyone. Dim lights, alcohol, music, and costumes that can partially hide your identity—what could go wrong? That’s what Akemi thought, not expecting what would happen that night, especially with her crush… Qimir.
Pairing: Qimir x OC Female
Warnings: This is quite LONG, alcohol consumption, I wrote this for fun.
A/N: Sorry, this was supposed to be ready by Halloween, but I had writer's block and didn’t want to leave it unfinished. So here it is to wrap up the Spooky Season. Remember, this can also be a Qimir x Reader, I just don’t like using Y/N.
*:・゚✧ *:・゚✧ *:・゚✧ *:・゚✧
Akemi's house was the perfect place to study, or so the Aniseya twins said. The three friends were studying in the young woman's room, sitting on the bed while Akemi lay on the edge. It seemed like the next day's exam would be a challenge, so they needed to focus their minds and concentration on the topics covered in class. Until…
—So… are you going to the party this Friday? —asked Osha without looking up from her book.
—I don’t know —Akemi replied as she wrote down key words in her notebook—. Dad might not let me go.
—Kemi… Jecki is going, and she’s your younger sister. Do you think Sol would let her go without company? —Mae asked.
—Yord can go —Akemi replied.
—Your brother is way too overprotective; Jecki wouldn’t stand it.
Akemi shot them a quick glance but went back to focusing on her writing. The theories about personality just wouldn’t stick in her mind or stay stored in her brain. The twins exchanged confused looks. Every year, at the start of October, their friend was already thinking about the perfect Halloween costume. They had never met anyone else who got so excited for a single day. And just a month ago, Akemi had practically jumped with joy when she received an invitation to a party hosted by Jackson Wang, a university student famous for throwing the best parties around.
That’s why seeing her go from excitement to disinterest in just a week seemed worrisome to them. What had happened?
—A month ago, you were excited about that party —Mae said as she moved closer and brushed the young woman’s hair aside, trying to catch her gaze—. What happened?
—Nothing, I just remembered those kinds of events aren’t my thing.
—Is that it, or is it because Qimir will be there? —Osha asked, tilting her head.
Akemi stopped writing.
Yes, that was the reason.
Qimir.
They had been texting for months but had never been in the same room together.
It all started when Akemi accidentally posted an Instagram story singing 22 by Taylor Swift with Osha and Mae for her birthday. The video was supposed to be visible only to her close friends, but when she saw that Qimir had replied with a simple: 'Happy birthday, Akemi,' she felt like her soul left her body and came back again.
From that day on, their conversations were casual, often making her bury her face in a pillow; because all her friends and siblings knew that the boy with black hair had been her crush since the very first day she saw him.
There was only one small detail: Akemi’s shyness.
The university campus was massive, so the chances of running into each other face-to-face were slim. There were times when Akemi was certain she had seen him from behind, but before Qimir could turn around, she would run off with her heart racing, avoiding any possible interaction.
She would then rush back to where her friends were to excitedly tell them she had seen him, but Osha and Mae would roll their eyes every time she got to the part where she ran away.
One week ago, Qimir asked her if she would attend the Halloween party. Akemi, thinking he would have more important things to do, answered yes, but when Qimir replied that he would go too... something didn't feel right. It was fear. What if they talked face to face at the party and in the end, Akemi stopped being liked by him? Why would he stop liking her? She didn't even have the answer.
Fear and her overthinking always ended up hurting her.
—Yes... it's because of him —Akemi admitted.
—Oh, Kemi —Osha said as she sat on the floor to look at her friend's face—. But why? Did he say something bad to you?
—No, no! He's been kind all this time —Akemi replied—. It's just that I'm scared.
—Scared of what? —Mae asked.
—Of us talking in person that day —she said—. I know it sounds pretty ridiculous, but... you know how much I like him, and I would hate it if, in the end, he doesn't like me.
—That’s not going to happen! —Mae exclaimed as she placed her hand on her friend's shoulder—. He hasn’t stopped talking to you. What makes you think it will be different?
Well, Qimir had no idea how introverted Akemi was in person. At first, she didn’t see it as a disadvantage, until the years passed and she realized that no guy had ever asked her out. She didn’t consider herself the most beautiful in the galaxy, but she didn’t deny that she was pretty; at least that’s what she saw in the mirror. She was confident, however, that confidence wavered when she was at a party and all the girls around her were asked to dance or exchanged numbers with guys. Why not her? Was she some kind of crystal ball, and everyone could see through her? Would the same thing happen with Qimir?
The twins tried to convince her to go, that they wouldn't leave her alone for a second. But nothing made Akemi change her mind.
☆.。.:*・
Friday arrived, and Akemi helped Jecki prepare the fake blood for her costume. The bathtub was a mess when she dropped it from her head to let it drip down to the dress. Another excuse to stay firm in not going to the party.
—Look at you, even with all... that, you look beautiful! —Akemi said to her sister.
Jecki smiled and looked down shyly. She grabbed the hairdryer and passed it near the paint to dry it.
—Maybe I won’t win the contest, but I’ll be satisfied knowing I tried —Jecki said, then gave her a smile.
Jecki sighed and rolled her eyes.
—Yes, but he's such an overprotective brother... he’s going to be right next to me the whole time!
—Well... I was going to do something similar —Akemi said—. You're our little sister, just act like he's not there.
—I will, only if he wears a good costume.
Akemi opened the bathroom door. Yord came out of his room at the same time as Jecki. In a blink, Yord screamed when he saw her covered in blood, and for a moment, it looked like he almost jumped to the ceiling like a cat in a cartoon.
—Oh Force! What are you supposed to be?!
—I'm Carrie —Jecki replied—. And your costume?
—Can't you see? —Yord asked, dropping his defensive stance and extending his arms.
—Yord... —Jecki spoke, then took a deep breath—. Out of all the options on the market, you chose to be Spider-Man?!
The youngest of the siblings didn’t let Yord respond and went down the stairs to get into the car. Their father offered to drive them there and bring them back. Akemi checked the time on her phone… and saw the notification of a message from Qimir.
—It’s time —Akemi said when they were on the porch of the house—. Take care of her, don’t let her get too excited about the colorful drinks. And please, for the love of everything… give her some space.
—I will —Yord replied before getting into the car.
—Are you sure you’re not coming? —her father asked from the car.
Akemi smiled but shook her head. Sol nodded, a bit disappointed that he couldn't convince his daughter. When the car drove away, he closed the front door and went back to his room to read the message from Qimir.
"Will you come tonight? I can't wait to see what costume you'll wear."
*:・゚✧ *:・゚✧ *:・゚✧ *:・゚✧
"I'm not sure." Akemi wrote.
“:(” That was the only reply.
Qimir sighed as he looked away from his phone and glanced around. Akemi was the only reason he had chosen to go to the party instead of staying home. The reason? He was there to confess his feelings. Two months ago, he started feeling attracted to her, so he made it his mission to find her all over campus. But every time he felt like he was about to find her, it seemed like the earth swallowed her up immediately. He also searched for her friends, but got the same result. Until one day, in the cafeteria, he ran into Akemi’s younger sister.
—Um... hello —Qimir greeted as he followed her—. You're Akemi's little sister, right?
—Depends on who’s asking —Jecki replied, giving him a quick glance.
—You don't have to worry, I'm her friend... or well, I think I am.
Minutes later, Qimir told her that he was sure he would confess his love to Akemi at some point during the party. But every time he asked her about it, she immediately avoided the topic. So, Jecki decided to help him by convincing her sister to go with him, thus completing the plan. She might be the youngest, but that didn’t mean she was foolish. Of course, she had overheard the conversations Akemi and her friends had in her room, and on several occasions, Qimir’s name lingered in the air. She knew her sister perfectly; from miles away, it was clear that she also felt something for the young man, but she was afraid to admit it.
A tap on the shoulder pulled him out of his thoughts; there was no one at eye level until he looked down.
—I'm so sorry, not even her friends managed to convince her! —Jecki apologized, speaking loudly because of the music.
—Don't worry... I'll have another chance.
Jecki just nodded and went off in search of her classmates. Qimir sighed again, but this time out of frustration. His friends had just arrived, and they wouldn't let him leave. It was going to be a very long night while his thoughts consumed him.
☆.。.:*・
Akemi was lying in her bed, staring at the ceiling while listening to music through her headphones. She didn’t even feel like watching her comfort series when she felt like this, overwhelmed. Had she made the right decision?
She had many messages from the twins, pictures from the party and them showing off their costumes. There was no doubt the event was a complete success; the crowd was evident, and the thick smoke probably carried the scent of cigarettes, perfume, and other things.
She turned off the music and snuggled into the blankets, listening to the sound of her father’s car parking in front of the house. She started breathing deeply, trying to fall asleep.
Until her father slowly opened the door.
—Ah, I thought you were already asleep —Sol said.
—I was about to —Akemi replied with a faint smile.
Her father nodded, and she focused her gaze. From Sol's expression, she knew he wanted to say something but wasn’t sure how.
—What’s wrong, Dad?
—Nothing, it’s just... I find it strange that you decided to stay home —he said as he sat on the edge of the bed—. On Halloween.
—Well, technically tomorrow is officially Halloween, so...
—Kemi, you know what I mean.
When her gaze met her father's, she was on the verge of breaking down. Sol had something, something that made even the most guarded person show their most vulnerable side. Akemi blinked several times to keep her tears from falling.
—It's because of a guy, isn't it?
And so perceptive too. Akemi could only nod from the embarrassment she felt.
—And what is it that worries you? —he asked.
—That I’m not enough for him.
—It's a very valid fear —her father said as he moved closer—. Kemi, I know you perceive things differently, and that hasn’t let you see that in every person, you always leave something special, just by being you. You don’t need to change anything about yourself to please others.
—But I want to make that person like me.
—All the more reason, there are many qualities in you besides being beautiful, and I’m not saying that just because I’m your father —Sol said before giving her a hug, which she returned—. If that guy doesn’t see how special you are… then he’s not worth it.
Those words hurt like a knife in her chest, but her father was right.
—I’ll be awake in the living room, in case you change your mind —her father said before walking away.
The door closed, and once again, the room was dark. Akemi put on her headphones and sank into a brief sleep, where her mind made her fall into an abyss of despair. She was at the party, just trying to keep up with the rhythm of the music while standing between Mae and Osha, who were dancing and giving it their all. Qimir was a few meters away, surrounded by his college friends. Everyone had a red cup, the contents of which were questionable, though it was clear it was alcohol. In the blink of an eye, the crowd parted, and suddenly, the image of Qimir being kissed by other girls appeared in front of her eyes.
She immediately woke up, feeling nauseous from that image.
—Fuck it, it's fine! —she muttered to herself as she threw the blankets off.
☆.。.:*・
—Come on... it's just a kiss.
—I already told you no —Qimir said—. Please, go away.
The third girl of the night who approached him with those intentions walked away, muttering insults. Qimir massaged the bridge of his nose, searching for some calm.
—Are you seriously going to turn down those opportunities? —one of his friends asked—. Face it, your girl won’t come, just have fun!
—I am having fun, I don’t need to kiss every girl here. It’s not my way.
—Well, then I’ll take the food you’re rejecting —his friend said before walking away.
—As you wish —Qimir murmured.
He was very persistent, waiting to see Akemi's figure stand out among the crowd. But as time passed, the flame of hope began to fade. He took the last sip of his drink, adjusted the dark coat he was wearing as part of his costume, and before he started making his way through the crowd, he heard a scream.
☆.。.:*
The moment Akemi stepped out of the car, her body started to tremble. She wasn’t sure if it was because of the cold morning air or because she was forcing herself to leave the house. She felt goosebumps, especially on her legs; a long black dress with sleeves and a vertical slit on both sides of her legs. A belt of the same color with some silver details, and finally, a fake cut near her left eye, made with makeup she borrowed from Jecki’s room.
She walked, following the sound of the music to find the house. A group of girls dressed as zombie cheerleaders passed by her, carrying bottles and bags of ice.
—Hey! —One of the girls greeted cheerfully—. Are you looking for Wang's house?
—Oh, hi! —Akemi returned the greeting—. Yeah, I’m not good at finding my way around.
—Don’t worry, it’s this way —another girl replied, taking Akemi by the arm.
—Thank you so much —Akemi said, smiling a little.
The music intensified, and the young woman took a deep breath to keep herself from running back to her father’s car. Especially when she saw the number of people in the yard, her gaze darted in all directions, searching for Mae, Osha, or any of her siblings.
—Thank you so much for walking me here —she thanked again with a visible smile.
—No problem —the girl replied—. Have fun!
The girls walked away, and Akemi took another breath, activating her lightsaber. The red color and sound caught the attention of those nearby, and for that night, she felt carefree about what others might think. After all, it was Halloween.
—No way! —Mae exclaimed, running toward her with Osha.
The friends hugged, bouncing with happiness.
—Kemi, you look... wow! —Osha said while looking at her friend.
—You both look gorgeous —Akemi said—. The black swan and the white swan, why didn’t I think of that before?
—And you? —Mae asked—. I thought you identified as a Jedi.
—Well, it’s Halloween —Akemi replied, shrugging.
The conversation was interrupted when Osha looked up, hearing the music change.
—Enough talking for now, let’s dance! —Osha exclaimed, pulling her sister and friend by the hands.
The first part of her dream was coming true; she was trying to dance with her friends, even though she felt a little shy. She tried to remember how she used to dance occasionally in her room with the headphones on full blast, but she felt blocked.
—You don’t have to think too much to dance —Mae told her—. Just let go and let it flow.
—I know, but… I feel blocked —Akemi replied—. I think I need something to drink.
—But you don’t drink alcohol —Mae said, surprised—. Are you sure?
Akemi nodded. Mae was still uncertain but took her to the bar, where there were bottles of all sizes and colors. The first drinks barely had any alcohol in them.
But in just two hours, things had changed. Akemi no longer knew what she was drinking, but the taste wasn’t unpleasant. As the songs kept playing, her body began to relax, and she could follow the rhythm of the music without Mae and Osha encouraging her. She was so absorbed in the moment that the memory of her dream faded, as did her introversion. She didn’t even notice that Qimir was watching her from the other side of the garden. Now, anything seemed absurdly fun, making her laugh and joke around.
Meanwhile, Qimir was frozen, stunned by the situation. He never thought he would see Akemi like this, so he felt the need to protect her and take precautions in case any guy approached her with bad intentions.
Akemi bit her tongue and got nervous when —to her perception— Qimir began making his way through the crowd toward her. Was it real, or was the alcohol making her hallucinate?
She turned to look at her friends, and they signaled with their hands, indicating that everything would be fine before heading off for more drinks.
—Hello.
—Ah... ¡Hi, Qimir! —Akemi greeted with a smile, a product of the alcohol in her system.
—So, you like Star Wars? —Qimir asked, looking at her costume—. Why didn’t you tell me?
—Well, it’s something I keep to myself —Akemi replied—. You look really good as a vampire. I mean, not that you don’t always look good, you always look cute, I mean...
Akemi clenched her fist, digging her nails into her palm to force herself to stop talking. The feeling that she was ruining the moment tried to eat her up. But when Qimir smiled, the fear turned to ashes.
—You look incredible too —Qimir said, taking another step toward her.
—Wow, look who finally found each other! —Mae exclaimed, holding a new drink, as did Osha.
—Finally —Qimir said—. Do you think I can hang out with you guys? My friends are already getting on my nerves with their jokes.
—Of course! —Osha replied—. A friend of Akemi’s is a friend of ours.
*:・゚✧ *:・゚✧ *:・゚✧ *:・゚✧
One breath near her nose tickled her, the sound of birds singing through the window made her wake up. Her lashes fluttered, and she focused her gaze.
The breath was from Mae, and behind her, Osha was also sleeping close to the wall.
Akemi didn’t move, a sharp pain on the left side of her forehead made itself known, like a fine needle trying to penetrate her skull. She sighed, accepting the pain as a sign to go back to sleep until her friends woke up or her dad knocked on the door.
Suddenly, her blood turned to ice. She was sure her heart stopped for a second and then started pounding like a drum in her chest. The breath on her neck made her skin crawl. Had Jecki stayed over too? No, the warmth that was starting to surround her came from a larger body. Yord? He never came into her room. With her heart racing, she slowly turned over, and there he was.
Qimir.
His dark hair strands were over his peaceful face as he continued sleeping. She could see his long eyelashes, the fake blood at the corner of his lips reduced to a light stain down to his chin. Although the image seemed cute, she grabbed his arm and shook him gently. How had he ended up at her house, in her bed, and sleeping so close? Qimir woke up and gave a slight smile, but from the look on Akemi's face, he felt like she was seeing a ghost.
—What are you doing here?! —Akemi whispered.
—Good morning to you too —Qimir murmured—. Don't you remember? You told me to stay.'
—What?! —Akemi asked—. When did that happen? No... I don't remember.
She felt her face heat up when Qimir gently stroked her cheek, and a teasing smile formed on his face. Akemi was in shock, never expecting to have the guy who had stolen a bit of space in her thoughts and occasionally appeared in the conversations she had with the twins right here in her room, so close.
—My dad... —Akemi said, her worry growing—. He could wake up at any moment.
—And you don't want him to find me here —Qimir said—. Because that wouldn't be right, right?
Akemi nodded.
—Go down the stairs carefully and exit through the kitchen's back door, it's always open —Akemi said, her mind still groggy but working—. The front door makes a lot of noise when it opens and closes.
—Got it! —Qimir replied—. Rest, drink something to hydrate, and then... we need to talk.
Those words sent shivers down Akemi's spine. Qimir carefully got up from the bed, adjusted his shirt, picked up his coat from the floor, and finally slipped on his black Converse, balancing himself while tying the laces. He glanced back at Akemi, who was now sitting, hugging the blankets, with a storm of intrusive thoughts swirling in her mind. What did he want to talk about later, and why wasn't now the time? Had she done something terrible that she couldn’t remember? Had she upset him? He noticed how Akemi’s gaze was fixed on a point on the wall, her honey-colored irises darting back and forth as if she were watching too many scenes from a movie at once.
Oh, no.
—Kemi —Qimir whispered, leaning closer to her—. It's okay, you didn't do anything wrong.
—Didn't I? —she asked, making an effort to look him in the eye.
Qimir gently cupped Akemi's face in his hands and placed a kiss on her forehead. His smile widened when he noticed her cheeks flush a delicate pink.
—Everything will be fine, relax —he said softly before pressing a tender kiss on the tip of her nose and leaving, closing the door carefully behind him.
Silence.
Nothing felt real. This had to be a dream, even though the sting on her arm from pinching herself said otherwise, and the lingering scent of Qimir's cologne on the pillow and blankets grounded her in the undeniable truth of the moment.
—Did your vampire prince already leave? —asked Mae, making Akemi jump a little. Her eyes were still closed.
—I think so —Akemi replied, noticing that Osha was also waking up and stretching her arms—. Hey, what happened last night?
—You don’t remember anything?! —Mae almost screamed, sitting up suddenly.
Akemi shook her head. She also noticed that the twins and she were all wearing pajamas. When did they change? She had so many questions and few answers.
—Do you want to see what happened last night? Here —Osha said, handing her phone over—. This is everything that happened after playing APT.
As Akemi scrolled through the pictures, flashbacks began to flood her mind. Until she reached the photo that made her throw the phone and scream, falling off the bed.
—It can’t be…
*:・゚✧ *:・゚✧ *:・゚✧ *:・゚✧
—Let the costume contest begin! —shouted Jackson Wang into the microphone.
Yes, that memory was clear. On an improvised runway, everyone dressed up that night took their turn. Jecki was cheered on by her entire class, who made a wild scene with their shouting. Osha and Mae also stole the show in their block. Qimir didn’t want to participate because he thought his costume was too basic, but his friends pushed him onto the stage, leaving him no choice. Three people before the contest ended, Akemi made her appearance on her own, spinning a few times with her lightsaber.
In the end, Jecki won thanks to the support of her classmates, siblings, and their friends. For the rest of the night, she carried her bouquet of flowers and kept an eye on her bag containing her prize: a brand-new phone. Jackson clearly spared no expense.
It was 2 a.m. Akemi was sitting on one of the garden planters next to Qimir, talking about all the times she had watched him from afar but preferred to run away, and he about all his efforts to find her and talk in person. When Mae and Osha got tired of dancing, they joined the group without interrupting the conversation. The music changed; it was slower now, and it was no surprise to anyone that the purpose of these songs was for couples to dance.
—Do you want to dance? —Qimir asked Akemi.
—I’d like to —she replied—. But I don’t know how to dance.
—Neither do I.
He took Akemi’s hand, and she followed him to the center of the garden. The couples were already spinning slowly, and the world seemed to stop when Qimir gently placed his hand on the small of her back. Akemi rested her hand on his shoulder, feeling the warmth seeping through the fabric of his coat. The music carried them into a silence that spoke louder than any words. Akemi’s eyes lifted to meet Qimir’s, and in that moment, the carefully built facades of both of them crumbled.
—Qimir…
—Yes? —he asked, resting his forehead against hers, his eyes closing for a moment. It was as if, in that instant, everything else ceased to exist.
—Can I… kiss you?
Qimir shook his head slightly. From Akemi’s drowsy gaze, he was well aware that the alcohol had affected her to some extent.
—You’re not in your right mind —he replied with a wide smile—. It wouldn’t be right.
—I’ve always been aware of my words and thoughts —said Akemi—. Could it be on the cheek?
—Well… —he said, pretending to hesitate, and his smile grew even wider at the young woman’s expression—. That would be fine.
Akemi gave him a quick kiss on the left cheek and hid her face in Qimir's chest, her laughter heard through his skin. He could see from afar how Mae raised her eyebrow, smiled and nudged her sister so she wouldn't miss the scene she was witnessing. Qimir took Akemi's face in his hands, who was blushing from his actions.
—Okay, if you're conscious, how about I kiss you here? —Qimir asked pointing at her lips.
—You can't, you have fake blood.
—It's edible.
Akemi couldn't help but laugh covering her smile with her hand. But Qimir took her wrist lowering it and with the other hand pulled her towards him making their lips finally meet and melt in a kiss. Her eyes closed, the sensation of an electric current going from her mouth to her spine, growing heat like being on fire from the inside. The grass at her feet disappeared, there was no one or anything around even though she felt flashes near her face. Only them and the music that was heard more and more distant and the darkness took everything.
Akemi had fallen asleep.
*:・゚✧ *:・゚✧ *:・゚✧ *:・゚✧
—After that, Jecki called Sol, but he didn’t answer because he had already fallen asleep —explained Osha—. So, we ordered a rideshare to bring us here.
—Wait, I don’t get it… Did I fall asleep in the middle of the kiss? —asked Akemi.
—Yeah, maybe. But don’t worry, it happens to a lot of people —responded Mae.
—And what else happened? Did my dad see me like that? At what point in the story did Qimir end up sleeping here?
*:・゚✧ *:・゚✧ *:・゚✧ *:・゚✧
—Dad’s not answering! —exclaimed Jecki; it was the eighth call with no response.
Everyone was sitting on the planter near the front door. Qimir had draped his coat over the sleeping girl and placed an arm around her shoulders.
—Are you sure she just fell asleep like that? —asked Yord, struggling to contain his anger—. Or did you put something in my sister’s drink?
—Enough, Yord! This isn’t helping at all! —Mae almost shouted.
—I already ordered a rideshare to take us home; we just need to confirm the address —said Qimir, handing his phone to Yord.
Yord sighed, annoyed. All of this was making him feel uncomfortable. Reluctantly, he inputted the address and handed back the phone. The ride was silent, the tension overwhelming. They hoped Sol was deeply asleep so he wouldn’t hear or find out what had happened with one of his daughters.
When they arrived, Yord opened the door carefully. A few meters away, the living room had the TV on. Indeed, Sol had fallen asleep; not even the sudden increase in volume from the infomercials made him react.
—It’s this way —whispered Osha, shining her phone’s flashlight on the stairs.
Qimir climbed slowly, holding Akemi in his arms. One wrong step and they’d tumble down the stairs, creating a loud noise. He laid the young girl on the bed and waited outside the room while the twins changed her clothes, and they did the same for themselves. Yord joined him after closing the door and tucking a blanket around his father.
—I'll let you handle the situation —Yord said, about to close the door to his room—. I'm not going to help you.
—You don't like me, do you? —Qimir asked.
—Jecki and Kemi are my sisters, I have to protect them —Yord replied—. And to be honest, you don't look like a saint.
Qimir nodded, understanding. It wasn't the first time he had received a similar comment. With his appearance, people often thought he was a carefree guy, living life without limits. But that was just how others perceived him, and it didn’t define him as a person.
—I can assure you that I won't cause any harm, you can rest easy —Qimir said.
Yord gave him one last look and nodded before closing the door. Jecki came out of the bathroom with wet hair, in her pajamas, and no trace of the fake blood that had been on her for hours.
—Although you wore a pretty basic costume, I won't deny when someone looks great —she said, giving a thumbs up in approval.
—Thanks, Jecki —Qimir replied, the corner of his lip lifting.
—So… when are you going to tell her that you really feel something for her? —she asked, referring to her sister.
—I hope to do it tomorrow —he said—. I think it's something that can't wait any longer.
—I like that attitude —Jecki said, smiling—. I'm going to sleep, you'd better leave through the back door, it never has a lock.
—I will —he replied before the young woman entered her room.
He could leave right then, but he wanted to make sure Akemi was okay. The door beside him opened.
—I thought you had already left —Osha whispered.
—No —he replied—. How is she?
—She's still asleep, don't worry. She'll feel better in the morning.
—Do you think... I could see her? —Qimir asked.
Osha hesitated, but in the end, she opened the door wider for him to pass. The little light coming through the window allowed him to see part of the room. The walls were white, to his right was the closet and a desk. To the left was the more interesting part; a vanity with her makeup, the bed pressed against the corner, and a wall full of pictures he couldn't make out but guessed would include Akemi's favorite singers, movies, series, and characters. At the foot of the bed was a bookshelf, about to exceed its capacity with the number of titles it held.
Mae was already asleep, and Akemi was beside her. Her hair was somewhat messy, but he could see her long eyelashes when he got closer. He stayed there for a few seconds, starting to move away; but then he felt a hand around his wrist, a sensation that sent a shiver down his spine.
—Don't go —Akemi whispered, her eyes half-open.
—I can't stay, but your friends will be here, with you.
—Stay —she pleaded, pulling at his arm—. Please.
Qimir didn’t want to agree, he looked at Osha —still standing near the door— not knowing what decision to make.
—I don’t think she’ll let go so easily —Osha whispered—. Listen to her, it’s okay.
*:・゚✧ *:・゚✧ *:・゚✧ *:・゚✧
—So much happened —Akemi said, shaking her head slightly, trying to process the words from the twins—. I'm scared of what will happen after all of this.
—Everything will be fine —Mae said, hugging her friend—. Trust us, you know we’re never wrong.
—And this time something is for sure —Osha added, joining the group hug—. He’s in love with you.
Akemi smiled, the fact that people outside of her thoughts confirmed she wasn’t just making illusions in her head relaxed her, allowing a slight weight on her shoulders to disappear, leaving her feeling free. Her phone vibrated with a message from Qimir.
"I made it home. Take today to recover, I'll be at your house at 7," wrote Qimir. "Happy Halloween ♡"
Yes, after a long time, her feelings were reciprocated, and in her favorite season. Who would’ve thought that love would bloom amidst terror, fake blood, and nightmares?

Come back to me
Tumblr media
Pairing: Jecki Lon x gn!reader
Word count: 252
Tags/warnings: fluff, sfw, established relationship, forbidden love (?)
Summary: you have a bad feeling about Jecki's mission to seek out Osha Aniseya. You just don't want to see your girlfriend get hurt.
A/N: sorry, it's a drabble. I have Jecki on my mind, but no ideas for fics.
--------------------------------------------------
"I'm not sure about this, Jecki."
News of Master Indara's murder spread quickly across the Jedi Order. The murderer had been described as Verosha Aniseya, one of Master Sol's old Padawans that had left the Order. Unsurprisingly, Master Sol requested to lead the search for her. That would be perfectly fine with you, if he wasn't dragging your girlfriend along with him.
"Are you questioning Master Sol's judgement?" Jecki arches a brow, playfulness evidential in her tone. You can't help but roll your eyes at her words.
"I'm serious." You insist. "Something's not right here."
"I think you worry too much." Jecki steps closer to grasp your hands in hers.
"I love you, it's my job to worry." You give her a flat look and try to ignore the skip in your pulse when she smiles at your words.
"I thought your job was to protect the Republic?" Jecki drops your hands to loop her arms around the back of you neck. It's a reflex response to place your hands on her hips.
"I can multitask." You smile charmingly and a small chuckle escapes Jecki's lips, before she bridges the gap between you and presses her lips agaisnt yours. Her embrace is like a natural anaesthetic, since it melts your anxieties. All that matters is you and her. Together.
You hesitantly pull away, after the overbearing thought about someone walking in on you two get too strong. You sigh and lean your forehead against hers.
"Just promise you'll come back to me."

[ undisclosed jealousy ]
Master Sol x reader (gender neutral) warnings: fake/pretend relationship, there was only one bed, reader gets hit on, jealousy, anger, tearing clothes, slightly angry sex (reader receives but no parts specified), fingering, confessions, possessive behavior, biting word count: 5.0k
summary: Ever since you had become a Knight a few years ago, things had been… awkward, between you and Sol. There was always something there, but you couldn’t put your finger on it. You didn’t interact with him much since you weren’t his Padawan, but you knew of him and saw him a lot around the Jedi Temple. The times you did interact with each other, there was a clear sign of flirting between the both of you, but neither of you seemed to act upon it. You weren’t exactly sure what was holding you back, perhaps he wasn’t interested like he had claimed, or maybe you were looking too far into it. But you could always recall times of other people speaking to you and Sol almost looking a bit… jealous.
notes: humbly dedicating this to @slutcoded-mandogirl 🖤
